Ambassador Idowu reaffirmed his vision to build a vibrant and impact-driven alumni ecosystem that fosters sustainable progress and instills pride in the EKSU community. He emphasized that the association under his leadership will intervene strategically to enhance infrastructure, foster academic excellence, and support the university’s quest for national distinction.
“We are committed to creating an ecosystem that fuels growth, progress, and pride in our alma mater,” he stated.
Recognition and Encouragement from the University Community
Delivering a keynote lecture at the event, Professor Afolabi Popoola of the Faculty of Education commended the alumni association for its continuous support and contributions to the development of the university.
Prof. Popoola described alumni as a critical pillar of institutional support, noting that EKSU alumni have consistently shown generosity in both donations and influence. He encouraged the new executive team to build on the successes of their predecessors and maintain the spirit of continuity and excellence.

In his remarks, Engr. Dipo Bamisaye, the immediate past Global President, expressed his sincere appreciation to the Board of Trustees, his fellow executive members, and the broader alumni body for their unwavering support during his tenure.
