The Ekiti State University (EKSU) transcript processing and collection experience has long been marred by perennial challenges. However, the current administration, under the leadership of Ambassador Seyi Idowu, has ushered in a new era of efficiency with the introduction of a dedicated Help Desk. This strategic initiative is designed to tackle the complexities associated with transcript processing, ensuring a seamless experience for EKSU alumni.

The creation of the Help Desk is a testament to the administration’s commitment to addressing the needs of its alumni. By providing personalized support, the Help Desk facilitates quick processing and delivery of transcripts and other relevant applications. This collaborative effort between the Alumni Association and University Management demonstrates a shared goal of enhancing the alumni experience.

The initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance the University’s services and provide decent experience for our teeming Alumni when they have something to request from the University in conformity with general acceptable standards. The Alumni Association has engaged with the University Management to solve transcript processing issues and other concerns. Building on past efforts, including providing computers and printers for the Transcript Unit, the current administration is dedicated to reducing processing times, enhancing efficiency, and creating a positive experience for alumni.

As former Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo aptly put it, February 2020, “Every Citadel derives its claim of greatness from the reputations and accomplishments of its students and staff,’’ The Alumni Association and the University are working towards guaranteed greatness. The President’s promise to provide a leadership that every alumnus proudly owns is being fulfilled through various initiatives. These include enhancing the Endowment Fund Initiative, rejigging members’ engagement strategies, and reconstituting key committees.

The administration’s first month has seen significant progress, including the gifting of a new bus to the Alumni Association by the Governor, an alumnus himself. This gesture underscores the strong bond between the University and its alumni community. With these initiatives, EKSU and its Alumni Association are poised for greatness.

The introduction of the Help Desk marks one of the significant milestones in the Association’s efforts to enhance the transcript processing experience of our members. Through evidence-based partnerships, collaborative efforts and strategic initiatives, EKSU and its Alumni Association are poised for a brighter future.

For transcript processing, the Alumni website www.eksualumni.com will make the job easier for the Help Desk Office to track complaints and applications once they are reported through the appropriate links on the website. I have gone through the website again and again, the simplicity is top-notch and navigating it won’t be a problem.

A strong start by the Seyi Idowu-led administration, if you ask me!

Kenny OKUNUGA – Ghandi,
Head, Liaison and Strategic Communications to the Global President.
